Congratulations to our U-16 Team who have qualified for the 9 a-side Championship Final. The game is fixed for this Friday at 6pm in Drumshanbo against Annaduff. We wish the team and their manager Dermot O’Rourke all the best in the final and hope to see a large contingent of supporters at the game.
We played our first game of the Division 2 Shield on Sunday last against Cloone in Glenfarne. After a hard fought encounter we were defeated on a score-line of 2-7 to 0-12. Our next game in this competition is away to Ballinaglera this weekend. Please check fixtures in this paper for further details. Thanks to Ketty’s Bar, Glenfarne for supplying refreshments after the match.
Congratulations to two great supporters of our club, Douglas Stephenson and Mary McManus who got married recently. We wish the happy couple many years of happiness together. Also congratulations to former player Paul Cullen and his girlfriend Sarah Roberts who got engaged a number of weeks ago.
The club would like to extend sympathy to the Dolan Family, Cornmore on the recent death of Mary Ann. May she rest in peace.

The club will hold the monthly 50/50 draw on this Sunday night 9th October at 10pm in Ketty’s Bar, Glenfarne. Tickets are available from all players and officials. Thanks to everyone for their continued support of this draw.
There will be a club meeting in Ketty’s Bar, Glenfarne at 9.30pm on Thursday 6th October. All members are expected to attend.
The club will be holding a race night on the Sunday night of the October Bank Holiday weekend. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
