Peter Canavan Visit
One of the greatest Gaelic Footballers of all time was in Glenfarne on Friday night last to present medals to a number of our successful underage teams. Peter Canavan presented medals to the 2005 U-16 9-a-side Championship winners, to the 2004 U-16 9-a-side League winners and to the 2004 U-14 9-a-side League winners. A great night was had by all who attended the function with the question and answers session at the beginning with Peter proving to be very popular with young and old alike. Thank you to everyone who helped organize the night especially those who had the Rainbow looking very well and to those who prepared the refreshments.

Dinner Dance
All roads lead to Dorian’s Hotel, Ballyshannon on Saturday night next, 28^th January 2006 for our Annual Dinner Dance. Tickets are available from all club officials and are priced at €25 per person. Dinner will be served at 8pm sharp. Music on the night will be provided by John Farry followed by a disco. A great night is promised and we hope to see a big crowd in attendance on the night.

Annual Draw
Our Annual Draw takes place on Saturday night January 28^th at the Dinner Dance. Tickets for this are available from all committee members and players. Tickets are priced at €5 each or three for €10. The prizes are as follows: 1^st Prize €1000 (Sponsored by Felix McHugh), 2^nd Prize €500 (Sponsored by Pat Slevin), 3^rd Prize €500 (Sponsored by Gerry O’Hagan), 4^th Prize €100 (Sponsored by Leitrim Overnight), 5^th Prize €100 (Sponsored by Ketty’s Bar), 6^th Prize €100 (Sponsored by Noel Gilgunn). Thanks to all our sponsors for their very generous support of this draw.

Players Meeting
An important players meeting will be held in the dressing rooms on Friday night at 9pm. All players who intend playing for our adult teams (Senior and Junior) are asked to be in attendance.

Membership
Club membership is now available. It costs €20 for family membership (Two Adults and two non-playing children), €15 for standard adult membership, €5 for student membership and €2 for all underage players. Membership forms can be obtained from Padraig McGourty @ 086-8106431. All players are reminded that in order to be eligible to play they must be fully paid up members. Closing date for obtaining membership is 31^st March.

Medal Presentation/Peter Canavan Visit
Tyrone Star Peter Canavan will visit the area on Friday January 20^th to present medals to our successful underage teams of 2005. The function will take place in the Rainbow Centre, Glenfarne. The event will kick off at 8pm. All are welcome to attend.

Our AGM was held on Friday 30th December 2005 and the following officers were elected - Chairman: Sean Clancy, Vice-Chairperson: Maura McGourty, Secretary: Francis White, Assistant Secretary/PRO: Padraig McGourty, Treasurer: Dermot O’Rourke.
